Managing Risk in the Urban Forest: Part 1
Other (Miscellaneous)
Risk Management is the process by which an individual or agency assesses and monitors its risks and selects and implements measures to address those risks. The ultimate goal of risk management is to protect the health, safety, and well being of municipal staff and the public. This article is the first in a series of four articles addressing urban forest risk management. It discusses the general principles of risk management, developing a risk management plan and policy, and communicating risk to the public.
