State Grant Program
The bulk of our work takes place in partnership with the dedicated public servants of the state forestry agencies across the South. Our state grant program supports the 13 states of the Southern Region as they endeavor to create and care for healthy community forests in towns of all sizes. Community partners, volunteers, educational institutions, health centers, transit departments, private companies, and more all magnify community forest benefits and help make our towns great places to live, work, and play. In 2018, the Southern Region of the US Forest Service dedicated over $4.1 million to support community forests through our grant relationships with the 13 state partners.
