"This review, the first of its kind in Europe, was carried out within the framework of the European COST programme, from March 1999 until December 2000, at the Danish Forest and Landscape Research Institute. The main objective was to carry out a comparative review of higher education on urban forests and urban trees in Europe and to identify needs in urban forestry-related education. The focus of the review was on higher education, defined as bachelor-level or comparable, or higher. The review identified a number of general problems and opportunities in European urban forestry-related higher education." [from website]
