Arboricultural education and qualification opportunities

It is argued that, within the UK, arboriculture tends to remain a fragmented discipline. This is also reflected in educational terms, by not having one National Training Organisation (NTO) representing arboriculture. In addition there are a plethora of routes to gaining professional qualifications and Chartered Status. Ideally, there needs to be a single NTO for arboriculture and a small number of awarding bodies involved. [UMN]
