Tree guidelines for Inland Empire communities
Journal, Research (Article)
This guidebook analyzes the multitude of benefits that trees can provide to communities and residents. By determining the community and homeowner savings from planting trees and subtracting the cost, this study found that trees more than pay for themselves." The guidebook also discusses the physical benefits of trees in cities: energy benefits, air quality benefits, water quality benefits, and social benefits. Co-authors are: J.R. Simpson, P.J. Peper, Q. Xiao, D.R. Pittenger, and D.R. Hodel.
