Modelling urban pressure on woodland: a spatial analysis

Reference Type
Journal, Research (Article)

For strategic planning and management, being able to predict urban pressure on woodlands at a regional level would be a valuable tool for management decisions and for allocating resources. This study asks, whether we can identify the factors determining urban pressure on woodlands and predict pressure levels for individual woodlands. A model was developed at regional level for possible use by local and regional authorities.
