An evaluation of the solar radiant environment in the shade of deciduous trees

Reference Type
Journal, Research (Article)

"This research set out to compare a photographic method of determining the optical porosity value of a tree with measurements of solar irradiance in the shade of that tree. The results suggest that there is a significant discrepancy. The photographic method underestimated the irradiance in the shade of test trees, winter and summer." (p.200)
