Urban wood markets in the northwest

Reference Type
Journal, Research (Article)

This article describes a situation in the northwest U.S. where "a rising demand for wood fibre in recent years has driven recovery rates for urban wood waste to unprecedented levels. Washington and Oregon are both recovering about 50% of their wood waste, which includes crates and pallets, scrap from millwork, truss, cabinet and other manufacturers, waste wood from the manufactured housing industry and construction and demolition wood.
