The Georgia Tree Project: demonstrating green infrastructure

Reference Type
Conference Proceedings (Chapter)

Describes a collaboration of partners that created a living model of green infrastructure. [UMN]

"Georgia Tree Project implemented principles of green infrastructure at three demonstration sites in metropolitan Atlanta. A CD-ROM and brochure helped the community better understand, preserve, plant, and maintain trees as an important community resource. The Georgia Tree Project is a success story of a collaboration of partners that created a living model of green infrastructure. Through the project, information and resources necessary to organize community support for the urban forest and plan for development with green infrastructure in mind were created." [Abstract]
