"In preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games, China is intensifying its urban greening efforts to project a good image to the international athletes and visitors. A mass campaign to establish Urban Forested Eco-cities has been carried out throughout the Country. This paper will show how large cities in China integrate green infrastructure into urban development, what the unique characteristics of urban forests in China are, and how CITYgreen, an urban forest ecological benefit analysis model, is used."
