Cortical canker resistant cypress adapted to urban landscape

[Abstract] Cypress thinned out in the Mediterranean area by the canker disease owing to Seiridium cardinale has been the object of a coordinated program between the French, Greek and Italian teams.
Out of the main orientations, it has been retained the selection of resistant clones from various sources issued from all species of Cupressus fitting in various surroundings.
Well defined functions were considered such as park decoration, garden and green areas, domestic hedges as a protection to private property, windbreaks.
