Simple mathematical approaches to tree biomechanics

Reference Type
Journal, Research (Article)

This paper "describes a method to determine load limits on the basis of very simple mechanical equations. It also presents a procedure to assess the dimensions of mechanical aids for trees, gives some thoughts on cabling or bracing between neighbouring trees, and it introduces a prognosis approach for estimating the safety of hollow trees.
