The Urbanizing Forest: Guidelines for Tree Protection

This booklet describes how the conversion of forested land to an urbanizing setting is impacting the trees.

There are five purposes to this 8.5x6.5 booklet. First of all, to show developers, contractors, planners, and residents items they should consider when developing on forested land. Second, to show how these same people may enhance the health and vigor of the trees. Third, to show how forest insects and diseases interact with development. Fourth, to show the importance of native mountain plants when landscaping around the native trees. Fifth, to show how proper forest management will benefit the urbanizing forest.
