Storm Preparation and (Tree & Urban Forest) Damage Management
Two presentations at the Issues in Urban & Community Forest Management workshop held in Athens, Georgia.
Part 1 of this presentation, Storm Preparation, discusses the role of professional urban foresters and arborists, and the importance of urban tree risk management in disaster preparedness. Part 2, Tree & Urban Forest Damage Management, looks at the phases of disaster response and recovery. And finally, it briefly discusses the role of Urban Forest Strike Teams (UFST) as a local, state, and regional disaster response resources.
