The Restoration of Freshkills from Landfill to Park: Setting a Research Agenda (webcast)

This webcast describes the largest conversion of a landfill to open space in the country.

At 2,200 acres, Freshkills Park will be the largest park developed in New York City in over 100 years, and the largest conversion of a landfill to public open space in the country. This webcast session features Erika Svendsen and Lindsay Campbell, US Forest Service, NYC Urban Field Station with Eloise Hirsh, Freshkills Park Administrator and Carrie Grassi, Land Use Review Outreach Manager, from the New York City Parks & Recreation.
