Delaware Trees: A Guide to the Identificaton of the Native Tree Species

Trees are by far the most conspicuous members of the plant kingdom. But a tree is not easily defined for the reason that a given species may assume tree form under certain conditions of climate, soil and other factors, and only shrub form under other conditions. For this reason authorities differ in thier respective classifications. Approximately 600 different species of trees are native to the United States. About 115 species are native to Delaware. In this book, you will find a detailed descripition and indentification of these tree species native to Delaware.
