City of Sacramento: Parking lot tree shading design and maintenance guidelines
This document provides standards and guidance for the planting, maintenance, protection, removal and replacement of trees planted pursuant to the parking lot tree shading regulations as defined in the City Code.
The purpose of the Parking Lot Tree Shading Design and Maintenance Guidelines is to improve the effectiveness of the City’s parking lot shading ordinance. The standards and recommendations in this documents will help to encourage achievement of the City’s 50 percent shading requirement for a greater number of parking facilities.
