City of Olympia's Utility-Friendly Trees

This pamphlet describes how to avoid conflict with overhead utility lines when planting trees.

This pamphlet describes the potential conflicts between trees and overhead utility lines, the characteristics of “utility-friendly trees” [Page 1], and what species are best to plant when overhead utilities exist.  A detailed guide on page 2 shows color photos of suggested utility-friendly tree species and provides information on their corresponding flower color, fruit color, fall leaf color, and place of origin.
