Apple Maggot

This webpage discusses the how the Rhagoletis pomonella attacks many hosts and how one can defend against them.

Not only does the apple maggot eat the fruit from apple trees, it also feeds on pears, plums, and cherries.  The page also describes the maggot’s life cycle and how to identify the maggot.  Some control methods include scented and colored lures and introducing vegetation popular by predators.
