Kids in the Woods at Westwood Middle School

Program partners work with students and teachers at Westwood Middle School to explore scientific concepts such as bird feeding behavior, creek erosion and deposition, and tree identification and benefits. Students learn about the scientific method - developing a hypothesis, participating in experimental design, collecting and analyzing data, and drawing conclusions. Click on each study to learn more!

Note: During Covid-19 we were lucky enough to be able to conduct the studies in with the students that attended school in person and also made lessons and resources available for those students studying on-line.
