Abstract: This paper reviews the evolution of Arizona Game and Fish Department's (AGFD) urban wildlife program. It compares wildlife conservation in rural settings with wildlife management in metropolitan environments and identifies a number of constraints and problems that may limit the success of urban wildlife programs.
