Abstract: This four-CD set includes the Wildland/Urban Interface Hazard Assessment Training Course presentation and field assessment from Spearfish, South Dakota, and includes field assessments presented in Prescott, AZ; Boise, ID; Daytona Beach, FL; and Toms River, NJ. In addition to the Course CD, three material CDs provide essential information that will help you provide hazard assessments for residential developments in the wildland/urban interface. In addition, this information and training will help you organize and manage the Firewise Communities/USA recognition program in your area. This series of CDs will give basic information needed to become a Wildland/Urban Interface Specialist and to perform assessments in your own community. You will learn about Firewise concepts, find out how to identify Firewise Communities/USA candidate areas and help them achieve recognition status.
