"Wildfire-proofing" your timberland

Abstract: Controlling underbrush that presents a fire hazard is by far the most commonly used approach on timberland throughout the South. Heavy fuel loads can accumulate in southern pine stands in a short period, from three to five years. Below are a few of the most effective brush control methods.
