Abstract: This report has two major sections. The first concerns emissions from trees and other vegetation and their role in area air pollution. The second summarizes available information about the direct and indirect benefits of trees on urban air quality and quality of life. It is our hope, by bringing this information together, that we can foster a more balanced and informed appreciation of the region's trees, parks, and other green spaces.
