Link: http://www.sfiwc.org/reports/2000LossReport.pdf
Abstract: This report contains figures and statistics on losses caused by forest insects during calendar year 1999. The data in this report were submitted by a number of southern states, the USDA Forest Service Region 8, and the Western Gulf Forest Tree Improvement Program. The supplied information is compiled into a report which is disseminated at the annual Southern Forest Insect Work Conference. The report has five sections, each dealing with a different damage class. The damage classes are: A. Mortality, B. Growth Reduction, C. Seed and Cone, D. Miscellaneous, and E. Oak Defect and Degrade. When possible, loss figures are separated to distinguish federal from state or private ownership.
