Abstract: A survey was conducted in the fall and winter of 1977-78 to identify the characteristics, management activities, objectives, and attitudes of nonindustrial private forest (NIPF) owners in Eastern Oklahoma. These owners control about 64 percent of the commercial forest land in the eastern portion of the State. The survey was done on a land area basis, so that the results indicate the extent of NIPF land owned by people with the various characteristics, activities, etc.
