Five local units of the Society of American Foresters reviewed the ICBEMP documents. A reading of their comments reveals common issues: that ICBEMP prescribes standards that will limit local managers’ flexibility, that implementation of those standards will be expensive in both time and money, and that the potential consequences to local communities are not adequately or accurately described. |
