Urban Tree Risk Management: A Comprehensive Framework (II)

Part II of a presentation at the 2012 Mississippi Urban Forest Council annual meeting in Jackson.

This presentation will delve into some of the detail of the “framework” for urban tree risk management that moves “assessment” to “mitigation” (i.e. appropriate action).  It is based on Urban Tree Risk Management: A Community Guide to Program Design and Implementation (Porlorny 2003). This framework will guide city & urban forest managers through the development & implementation of a risk management program that is based on current arboricultural standards.
