Tree Response to Pruning Techniques

“The goal of this video is to educate the audience regarding the effects of different types of tree pruning practices."

This six minute video quickly identifies the proper pruning techniques and the ways in which trees react to pruning. There are many cautions depicted to the viewer. One caution is to never cut in between nodes on branches. The multiple sprouts this procedure produces are weak. Also, the video states that wound dressing pruning cuts creates an ideal environment for insects and diseases. The intended audience for this short film ranges from high school students to adult. After viewing, one should have a broad grasp on the intricate biological processes that occur in trees after pruning.
