STRATUM Data Dictionary for GPS Units Using Trimble Technology
This data dictionary to collect STRATUM inventory data was developed for GPS units using Trimble Technology. This file setup (with a .ddf extension) meets the field heading crieria required for STRATUM analyses. When exporting the collected data set to a database (i.e. Excel spreadsheet, CSV file, generic database format, or MS Access format), export menu attributes as "code value 1". Additional fields for tree location and comments have been added to this data dictionary. These fields are not recognizable to the STRATUM software. They must be removed before running a STRATUM analysis.
