Fertilizers for Trees and Shrubs
Fertilizer is a routine part of maintenance that improves the leaf size, foliage quality, and flower and fruit production.
Excess fertilizer can be hazardous to the plant and the environment around it. Soil Ph, Salinity, and micronutrient content is unique in Hawaiian soil. The proper fertilizer must be used. This publication discusses ways to test soil and how to apply the fertilizer. Fertilizer will help trees greatly, but it is no substitute for adequate watering and drainage.
