Advancing Your Mission with Support from Your Urban & Community Forest Councils (Webcast)

Urban Forest Councils are collaborative organizations comprised of individuals, citizen groups, nonprofits, businesses, and agencies from around a state that share an interest in urban and community forestry.

Urban Forest Councils are collaborative organizations comprised ofindividuals, citizen groups, nonprofits, businesses, and agencies fromaround a state that share an interest in urban and community forestry.They exist to help communities strengthen the efforts of local groupsby serving as a resource, a forum for networking and discussion, and anadvocate of the urban forest. The Councils may do this by hostingconferences and workshops across the state for training and networkingopportunities, promoting the benefits of urban forest management andhealthy community forests to the general public, and educating electedofficials and decision-makers about important issues affecting thefuture of trees in the state. Additional programming may include basictree care workshops, publications, awards, and landmark or historictree registry.
