A Waterwise Guide to Trees

This pamphlet describes the benefits of drought tolerant trees and the irrigation methods that can be used to preserve water in New Mexico.

New Mexico has many periods of drought. During this time, water restrictions may not allow for excessive irrigation. This four page pamphlet states the best irrigation techniques to conserve water. Depending on the location within the state, some plants are better adapted to times of drought. Plants can also withstand droughts with proper planting. The pamphlet also discusses how to probe the soil to measure wetting depth.
