Martha C. Monroe is an Associate Professor and Extension Specialist in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation. She directed the Wood to Energy Outreach Program and provided expertise in public perceptions, communication, training, and evaluation. Lauren McDonell was a Program Coordinator at the University of Florida School of Forest Resources and Conservation. Lauren received her BA in Environmental Policy and her Masters of Forest Resources and Conservation in Environmental Education and Communication, both from the University of Florida. She was the program coordinator for the Wood to Energy Outreach Program and worked remotely from New Castle, Colorado. |

She is interested in environmental education and communication and has a background in natural resource conservation. Dr. Matthew Langholtz studied environmental economics of woody biomass production in Florida, and assessed the economic availability of woody biomass resources in communities in the Southeast. David E. (Ted) Hill serves as Senior Vice President of Telogia Power, LLC a 14 megawatt biomass-to-energy facility in Liberty County, Florida. Ted is a 25 year veteran of the renewable energy industry having worked on developing and operating waste-to-energy, biodiesel production; and biomass pellet manufacturing facilities throughout his career. Alan Long is Professor in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation, University of Florida. Teaching responsibilities include wildland fire, forest operations, and plant identification. Extension programs focus on wildland-urban interface fire, forest stewardship and management opportunities for nonindustrial private forest landowners, and continuing education for professionals. He serves as statewide coordinator for the University's forestry extension programs. In the last three years he has conducted collaborative research with the US Forest Service and National Institute of Standards and Technology on the flammability of landscaping materials.
