North Carolina Urban Forest Council
The North Carolina Urban Forest Council is a nonprofit organization which helps communities strengthen the efforts of local groups by serving as a resource, a forum for networking and discussion and an advocate of the urban forest. The Council seeks to encourage and support these communities in their urban forest management efforts.
NCUFC hosts conferences and workshops across the state fortraining and networking opportunities. We also co-sponsor conferenceswith others in the green industry. Our envoys promote the benefits ofurban forest management and healthy community forests at alliedprofessional meetings. We educate elected officials and decision-makersabout important issues affecting the future of trees in NorthCarolina's communities. [from website]
