"These pictures have all been taken using a Sony MAVICA MVC FD91 digital camera. Most plants were seen in the botanical gardens from Bonn and Köln, Germany, some taken during a stay in Yucatan, Mexico 1999, some were found in my garden, some on the roadside. The time range is between February, 1999 and November 2001. The camera was set to small resolution which means the image size is 640 by 480 pixels, which is often just right to identify the plants and the number of bytes per image is in the moderate range of 30 to 80,000, so that short loading times in the Internet result. Some photos were taken using a magnifying lens from HAMA (2 times enlargement), a magnification where to my experience it is just possible to shoot the pictures manually without fixing the camera on a tripod. The images are not processed or enhanced by any image manipulating software, with a few exceptions where the contrast hast been augmented."

Site is in German except for Latin genus and species names.

Stuber images also available from the Texas A&M Bioinformatics Working Group - Vascular Image Gallery.
