University Outreach Publication
Crape myrtle, crapemyrtle, crepe myrtle, crepemyrtle, and crapemrytle are all common names for an exotic Asian plant group used extensively in warm temperate areas of the globe for adding color and texture to a landscape in Summer. Because of the length of time crapemyrtles have been available for sale and breeding work, hundreds of forms of the plant have been developed. This listing was compiled to assist landscape professionals and landscape managers compare a few select qualities for many of the commonly used and grown crapemyrtles.
